About the Committee
Our Story
The Humber Bay of Islands Tourism Committee brings together local leaders, operators, and community voices to grow tourism in our region. What started as a strategy on paper has become a collective effort to celebrate the Bay’s beauty, culture, and people. Our role is to take those big ideas and turn them into real opportunities—supporting operators, welcoming visitors, and keeping tourism rooted in the character of Western Newfoundland.
Our Mandate
Tourism works best when it is collaborative and community-driven.
Our committee is here to:
- Share the Humber Bay of Islands as a must-visit destination.
- Build strong partnerships with operators, businesses, and communities.
- Act as a hub for communication and support across the sector.
- Promote responsible tourism that respects Indigenous traditions and protects our natural environment.
- Align local growth with broader provincial and national strategies.
